A Lot of thought should go into buying your aquarium tank. It should not be bought on the spur of the moment. The tank should be appropriate for the content you are planning for it. Aquarium tanks hold several things like fish, corals, amphibians and/or decoration. The requirement of the tanks vary for all these things. Among all these things, fish are the easiest to maintain whereas corals need a lot more maintenance compared to other things.
Corals demand an aquarium tank of marine setup, i.e., basically saltwater. The optimum saltwater level of around 0.7 is most conducive for saltwater corals and fish. Otherwise they suffer disfigurement and are affected by growth problems.
Fish are the easiest species for an aquarium. They need a tankful of water, a filter, proper lighting equipment and most important, a heater. Different species of fish need specific types of habitats and they can only be put in an aquarium with their special types of habitats so it is essential that you correlate the species of fish with its specific environment need and choose an appropriate aquarium tank for it.
The right type of aquarium tank for your chosen amphibians and fish are very important for the longevity of the fish. They will not live long if they are housed in an unsuitable tank. Aquarium tanks are made of reinforced safety glass to prevent breaking of the glass when water is filled in. Therefore, the aquarium tanks are necessarily expensive.
