Where To Get Information On Aquarium Plants

I'm sure there are exceptions but the worst place to look for help on aquatic plants is a pet store. They know about pets not plants. So when looking for information on plants for your aquarium the best place to look is the Internet. Try the forums for specific information and websites that have plants for sale. They know the best information on any problems your aquarium plants may have.

Try different groups at yahoo groups, Google groups or use Google to search for newsgroups on aquarium plants. Using the words newsgroups will help you find groups that have information on aquarium plants.

Another place to look, of course, is books. There are a Lot of books associated with aquariums, aquarium plants, reefs and fish. Some books are set up for scientific approach, some have information on how to sell aquatic plant or some have information for the home enthusiasts.

There are a few books that will cover the whole spectrum of aquarium plants but they are hard to find. Most of the time you will have to have several books from different authors to get all the information you need to grow aquatic plant.

Again the Internet is usually the best place to find all the information you need. Internet websites keep up to date information on aquatic plants and any problems or suggestions you might have. If the problem is not there you can bet someone has had it so check the forums and ask for help. Most forums will help with any problems you might have with your tanks of plants.

Sometimes you can make friends with someone across the world that has the same interest as you do in aquatic plants and possible the same plants. It never hurts to ask. Remember to be courteous in the forums. You never know who can help with your problems.

The newsgroup rec.aquaria is one of the best places on the Internet to find information on any type of aquarium problems. Not just aquatic plants but information on how to set up a saltwater tank, reef tanks, coral, fishes, and just about any problem you might encounter with your aquarium.
