Are all black eastern hognose snakes rare?
I have an eastern hognose snake that is the exact color scheme of an adult black racer, with the exception of her lips being a little orange. i know that it is not a black racer because it is fat (like a ball python), it flattens it's head and spreads it out like a cobra when threatened, and it's nose/head are all shaped like a hognose snake. It is matte black, with grayish(almost blue) belly

Not rare. However illegal to own or possess in MA. Make sure that its hood spreads out like an Easterns otherwise it is not a hognose. Racers/Garters do not have a hood.
