Brown snakes, verticle stripes in florida (raining)?
Im a lil irish girl and Im visiting my husbands family (who live in florida) and I came across a small (ish. foot and a half) brown snake with virticle stripes (i think) and its raining outside. My husbands family lives out in central Florida
Can you identify the snake?
I'd think by vertical, what was meant was longitudinal (head to tail rather than around the body), and I'd go with a garter snake or a ribbon snake. We have no brown striped venomous snakes in Florida (or anywhere in the U.S. for that matter)
