corn snakes poisonous
Can a snakey expert please tell me?
What are all the different pet breeds of snake, and some common varieties of those (u don't have to tell me all the corn snake morphs or anything!!)
I'm not interested in deadly poisonous, or huge things that really only a Zoo would keep- just the ones which make good pets.
Iam not looking to buy a snake right now- just to learn about them. Some snakes DO make good pets, as I have one -a corn snake, and she is friendly, curious, and I swear she even has a sense of humour. All pets were wild animals once, like dogs and cats, and they're good pets- unless you've actually experienced snakes, please don't answer.
Snakes curl up under logs etc naturally- its not because they're unhappy or stressed. Otherwise they would probably be more active- trying to get out.

I left out any aggressive, venomous, or large species. The largest species in the list is a Columbian Red Tail, which can grow around 13-15 feet (females, the males stay much smaller). All the others stay around 6-8 feet or less. All the species are commonly kept as pets and are friendly and easy to handle.
Visit www.kingsnake.com, you can find photos, information, care sheets, and breeders for all or most of the species I listed for you.
