Have you ever been discriminated against for owning an exotic pet? If so tell me ur story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Me and my wife are the proud owners and breeders of snakes....Ball pythons, boas, etc...... We have been called crazy, irresponsible, and even bad parents because ignorant people know nothing about reptiles. So will you make us feel better by telling us some of the stupid crap that has happened to you? Or even a stupid myth that you get tired of hearing...Such as "all snakes are poisonous" Thanks.
Oh yeah, this has happened to me lots! My wonderful hubby and I bought a baby ball python, and suddenly some of our friends wouldn't come to our house. My daughter's aunt decided she wasn't going to come to my girl's 3rd birthday party even if we put the snake in our basement. And keep in mind it is in a secure cage, locked. We have been called ignorant, bad parents, crazy as well. It's ridiculous and makes me mad to hear stuff like that. I don't talk bad about someone because of their choice in dogs or cats. I understand people are scared of stuff but common sense needs to play a part here and people need to realize that a pet snake isn't going to find a way out of a locked cage and attack you. Sheesh, I'm glad you asked this question because this irks me greatly.
