how long should you wait after feeding a ball python before you start handling him again?
he is about 18 inches long and eats every 7 days. he eats young rats. and he loves to be held.

how long have you had it? is it used to you handling it? mine was 12 inches when i got it and 5 12 feet when i finally let my brother take over raising it. i waited four days for him to digest the food. make sure Water is always available and the tank is the proper temperature (don't remember the specifics, but warmer on one side) for proper digestion. i loved my snake and would let it "run" around the bedroom after of course snake proofing. snakes need exercise to.
