The third generation of Mustang rolled out in the year 1979. This new model was stripped of all the frills and had minimal design. The wheels were simple with a plain black center cap and a three spoke black wheels. The sales dropped to alarming levels and became a major cause of worry for the management. They worked out a strategy work plan to counter the situation. The result was a completely redesigned Ford Mustang-a sleek and smart model with a sporty look.
