What all is involved to take care of a lizard?
My brother wants a lizard or a turtle. Right now, he's hung on "lizard". He is 10 (going on 11) years old, and he needs something that doesn't require alot of cleaning. We were thinking about a baby bearded dragon, or possibly some geckos.
Anyways, what all is involved when care for ONE lizard?
Here are a couple places you can go to find out about lizards. The second one is probably your better bet, because it is the herpetological society. There is a Lot of work involved in taking care of reptiles. They need warmth, food, correct lighting, correct substrate. All these need to be considered when deciding to buy a lizard, or even a turtle. Is he going to take care of it, or get bored with it after a couple weeks. I would read up on this before investing in one. Reptiles do have a lot of care involved, and they are an investment. Please, please read up on them before you decide, which one or if you're going to get one for him.
