can i use BIG sponge filters ( like the kind they use in 10 gal tanks ..for my 180 gallon tank..?
someone told me i can use sponge filters like a Lustar Hydro V Sponge Filter they are rated at 120 gallon tanks.. do you think a few of those would work in my 180 Gal ?? really a spong filter? hmm
Would the filter work? Define "work". They would certainly run, but there is no chance a sponge filter would serve much purpose in such a large tank. 4 or 5 of the sponge filters might ALMOST cut it, but you really do need a canister or two, or Aquaclear 110s at the very least.
