What are my chance of getting into med school after taking a 1yr break during undergrad?

I attended a private school during my first semester of college and the cost simply turned out to be too much. Now I must take a break to pay them before going to a new school. I am a AB student and have always wanted to be a doctor, but I'm afraid that this issue may kill my dream. I am confident that when I return I will do well, but what are my chances of getting into med school?

Well your chances of getting into med school first of all will be better if it is a public or state funded university, and second just keep your grades up from here on. Only one semester of school previous to entering another school wont hurt you too much as long as you pick a school that has undergraduate and med-and stay there. Schools usually pick their own undergrads before students entering from other schools. Just make sure you keep up the studying and good grades, do some internships and volunteer work for resume building, prepare yourself for the mcats, and hope for the best.
