Is my Russian Tortoise's cage to small?
I think the cage is way to small but my mom thinks it's fine. It's a 3x1 glass reptile cage. I have a little hideout box but he always pushes it to the middle of his cage.Does anyone have any ways i can set up his cage to give him something to do? I live in an apartment with little space and I thought about making an outdoor enclosure on the balcony is that safe? Also there is 2 bookcases that are both way bigger than his cage that we'll be throwing out can someone tell if it would be a good idea to make a tortoise table out of those i would have space for a tortoise table after christmas. And Please dont tell me to give him away becouse ithink i can work something out ![]()
his shell is about 5 inches
Yes that is to small.
Glass is not good for land turtles and tortoises either.
Here is a tort table idea. Maybe you could use the wood from the book shelves you are throwing out to make something smilier.

If you make something on the balcony, you may want to put a top with screen (hard ware cloth) on it to keep him in and bird etc. out.
Here is a site you can learn more about care and lighting he needs.
