What do I need for the thick tail gecko?
I need to know what things i need for the thick tailed gecko. My tank size is 60x45x45cm is this ok? Also Does anyone know a good petstore that ships to Australia? This is what i've got planned so far: Substrate: reptile sand ( don't even bother talking to me about the impaction thing). Heat source: heat lamp ( at one end). Hides: rock hide hot end and rock hide cool end. Plants: Fake cacti, dessert bush. Extra: rock formation. Background: rubberish rock backoground.
Please tell me all you can and please don't give silly answers.
This Gecko breeder says that the size tank will be big enough. I'm only having one geecko and seing the gecko is only 12cm-14cm at full length he says the tank size is fine as he is very experienced. Also I only asked that question to see if it was to BIG not to small sorry if i confused you and i also asked it to see how many geckos can fit into otherwise the infomation is very helpful keep it up and i will choose the best answer in a day or two!
eventually you will need to expand the tank, im thinking atleats a 55 gallon tank will be sufficiant.. you seem to have everything in order, you do need a DAYTIME light. it gives them the required vitemin d needed to give them strength.
