Cooling Down Snake Habitat?
im waiting on an adoption of a corn snake but in the meantime i am seting up the habitat. from what i understand, corn snakes like an average temperature of 21-24 degrees (70-75 fahrenheit) and a basking area of 27-30 degrees (80-85 fahrenheit). i dont have air conditioning in my house and currently the temperature in my house is around 28 degrees during the day, and only dropping to around 24 at night. i know at night temperatures need to drop around 6 degrees (10 fahrenheit) from the day time temps. but if temperatures in my house are warmer than what the snake is supposed to have, how can i reasonably cool down the habitat so i dont overheat the snake? anything ive been able to think up has either been majorly inconvenient and very hard to make work in the long run, or have been less than optimal for the snake.

keep in mind corn snakes are native to southeastern U.S. where summer temps routinely reach 90-100 degrees.
the only reasonable thing you can do is keep a large bowl of Water for him/her to cool off in if he/she wants to.
