snake information
I need snake information please.?
I have a milk snake and she always strikes at me when ever I take her out or feed her. But when she bites I can't see her fangs and I haven't seen any puncture wounds on her food. So I was wondering if she has fangs or not I wanna know before she bites me.
Dear Suzi (cute name!)
A milk snake won't have "fangs" because fangs are only used to deliver venom, or poison, from dangerous snakes.
A milk snake has tiny teeth and a bite would show up as a semicircle, like this " ) ". The only concern would be infection, so if your snake bites you, even if it doesn't draw blood, clean it with soap and Water. (The bite area, not the snake!)
Snakes don't brush or floss their teeth, so they can get an unhealthy dose of bacteria in their mouth.
Have fun with your milk snake. Be very gentle when picking it up and handling it. Perhaps it will acclimate to this and stop being so aggressive.
