Spill Containment Pallets are available on the Internet but to know what a spill containment pallet is? They are actually containers for containers. These pallets are actually designed to contain the leaking contents of any containers that have chemical or other Water based liquid. This is for added protection and is required in most cases by the EPA.

These pallets come in many sizes and volume. Some may contain eight drums of liquids while some can be portable enough for one. There are even pallets that can be stacked up for easy storage and therefore save floor space. Spill containment pallets are generally used by power plants, most industrial plants and other chemical plants to contain any leakage and protect the environment. Some spill containment pallets look like water basin or trays. These are actually used to hold some of the chemicals that may be seen on warehouses or to be used under stacked containers. These pallets are made up of very high density polyethylene to ensure the sturdiness of the pallets. They can withstand almost all chemicals.

They can also be used the same as other pallets but are only necessary if you are handling some type of liquid. These containment pallets can be paired with other pallet, making it very convenient to customize the storage area. A spill containment pallet can be purchased with a very low profile design which allows the use of a ramp so the containers can easily be transferred on and off the pallets with hand trucks or carts that have wheels. The polygrates that come with most spill containment pallets are removable for easy cleaning.

Spill Containment Pallet come in two types. Open ones that are for use inside your facility and enclosed spill pallets for use outside. The enclosed pallets serve to prevent run off of any chemicals if it rains. Some covered spill containment pallets are lockable also to prevent unauthorized use or theft of the chemicals inside.

These pallets are really on the verge of being required by every plant in the United States that uses chemicals. New State and Federal regulations make spill containment pallets necessary to comply with regulations such as EPA 40 CFR 264.175 regulation.
