how to use a clamp lamp on a tank with a screen lid?
I have a leopard gecko and he has been living at my house so I just set the lamp directly on top of the screen lid but I attend an environmental high school where we're allowed to keep small pets at our desks and they say we can have heat lamps as long as it's not directly touching anything. So I thought, okay that's cool my lamp has a clamp no big deal- except there is no place for me to clamp it while I have the screen on.. My options?

options: remove the clamp or invest in a lamp meant to rest on the top of the screen that includes all the different light required in one....they run about $30 and can be found at any local pet store.
