Can I use a halogen lamp for a red eared slider in a 19gal tank?
I bought another zoomed reptile lamp with 60w halogen bulb. Can I use it in a 10gal tank, or is it too hot for the turtle in 10gal tank? If yes? how high the 60w halogen bulb have to be place in a 10gal tank? I want to know if ny turtle can live without Water? My turtles asting ounder the previous halogen lamp 8 hours a day. The tank have no filter, but have 1.8" water. 3pc of medium size rocks.
I need a little help for my new reptile lamp, and I'm use a 10gal tank for my 4" RES.

It really depends on the tempature.
Record the tempatures and long as it fits in, its fine.
Air Temperature: mid 70's - 80's
Basking Temperature: High 80's to low 90's
Water Temperature: ~ 72 to 76 degrees for sub-adults & adults, 78 to 80 degrees for hatchlings & smaller juveniles.
