Water dragon reptile
Chinese water dragon make good pets?
I'm thinking about getting a chinese water dragon.
Are they good pets?
Like, can you play with them at all, or do you just get to look at them.
Are they hard to take care of?
How big do they get?
Do they bite often?
Are they friendly?
If you don't think they would make a good pet, perhaps you could recommend another common household reptile pet to me.

Thanks so much!
Any information and input would help.
I've been looking at Petsmart, btw.
I have one and he is great. He does not mind being held but not for long periods of time. He has never bitten any of us and his temperament is pretty even. Do be prepared to provide him with a large pan of water as they do love to get in it and most likely will poo in it. You will need to have a good supple of crickets, meal worms or super worms. Mine will not eat crickets anymore and refuses to eat from a dish thus we hand feed him his worms each day.One thing that you will need is a good digital probe thermometer to keep check on his temperatures. This is important as well as having a UVB light to run the length of his enclosure which should be at least a 55 gallon tank.
